Description

Purpose: The PSh-1 hose gas mask is a non-pressure insulating device designed to protect the human respiratory system, eyes, and face from harmful airborne contaminants, regardless of their concentration. It is also intended for use in environments where the oxygen content is below 17% and where harmful vaporous and gaseous substances exceed 0.5%.

Operating principle: The gas mask is a non-pressure, single-channel insulating breathing apparatus, in which air is drawn in by self-suction under the facepiece of the gas mask through a hose with an anti-aerosol filter located in a clean air zone. Exhalation occurs through the exhalation valve in the facepiece.

Components: The PSh-1 gas mask consists of:

• A set of facepieces (equipped with a gas mask helmet-facepiece ShMP in two different sizes);
• Two consecutively connected corrugated tubes, to which a reinforced 10-meter hose is attached;
• A filtering element for purifying inhaled air from dust;
• A safety belt with shoulder straps for securing the hose;
• A 12–15 meter signal-rescue rope and a stake for securing the hose end with the filter box in the clean air zone;
• A storage bag.

Application area: Hose gas masks are used in various industries and municipal services—for work inside tanks, wells, cisterns, and compartments. They are recommended for short-term tasks of low to medium intensity, within a temperature range of -30ºC to +50ºC, when clean air can be accessed no more than 10 meters from the work site.

Warranty period for storage: 3 years.

Warranty period for the rope: 1 year.
